This puzzle makes a large hexagon. Print off the puzzle (on card ideally) and cut up.

Students match the statements to build the puzzle.

Answer sheet also provided.

This puzzle covers the fundamentals of how substances move across membranes (in/out of cells, tissues & organs). There are many common misconceptions and lots of applications of this content in exams!

It is appropriate for Combined or Triple science students.

The central 6 tiles are the easiest, so I usually put a dot in the middle of these 6 tiles as an easier starting point for students.

As students gain confidence, they can race to complete the puzzle to make it even more engaging!
